This site has been set up to pay tribute to the Slam Door MU that are currently operating on the Southern Region as well as one remaining DMU on Chiltern Railways.These units have given solid, reliable service for a long time and are now being replaced by 375/377 "Electrostar" or 444/450 "Desiro" units. On this site you will find a little bit of information about the surviving units, a class guide and the remaining diagrams for the relevant TOC's.
For the latest gen on slam door units I recommend the Slam Door EMU yahoo group where regular daily diagrams are regularly posted.
